The song lyrics evoke the themes of annoyance and existential questioning, darkly parodying the meaning of life. The slogan, “If you are not content and do not understand what for, what’s the point?” indicates the approach to combine introspection with defiance. The band’s ability to parade the compliment acts of awesome combinations of essential words and excellent jiving music is instrumental to the song. On the B-side, there is also a remix by Oliver Ackermann of A Place To Bury Nonnatives, adding more spice and variety to the release. Dead Tooth’s sound, often described as “rodeo-core”, enhances post-punk with an edge. With punk, gemstone, and experimental sounds thoughtfully combined and crafted into one of the most pleasing and appealing ear pleasures, the track is simply a music-name piece.

“Birthday Boohoo” is a well-crafted single that shows and tests Dead Tooth’s bravery in creating new and authentic music. Especially for the suckers’ post-punk and energetic gemstone, “Birthday Boohoo” is this fantastic track that, with its contagious energy, clever lyrics, and excellent product, is a must-have. This is a lead-in to their performance as they embark on their European stint, with performances set for London, Manchester, and Nottingham. Dead Tooth is an incredibly cool band; their raw sound and primary rebellious vibe made such an impression on me.
