Erik David Hidde is known for his solo act, Prison Escapee. He has released 11 studio albums, an EP, and a bulk of singles and covers from 2014 to 2024. Hidde was also the former CEO of Housewarming Records, one of the first digital record labels in independent music. Influenced by artists like Nick Drake, Mark Kozelek, Kevin Drew, Thom Yorke, John Lennon, and Jim Morrison, Hidde combines indie-rock, electronic, and trap production. His music includes electronic synths, trap beats, post-rock guitars, deep bass, and rock drums, creating a new dimension in music. “Shed Tears” was written, recorded, mixed, mastered, arranged, and produced by Hidde in his living room.
