Pink Skull Garden, a band from Charlotte, North Carolina, is getting attention for their high-energy music and rebellious style. Their new song, “Busy Today”,  released on July 2nd, is reminiscent of the 2000s skate-punk scene with its fast guitar riffs, strong drum beats, and lyrics that speak to the excitement and frustration of being young.

The band Pink Skull Garden has three members, Farhan Raza on guitar and vocals, Gabriel “Gabe” Chimenti on bass, and Hunter “Harold” Dubar on drums. Farhan found Gabe on Instagram and asked him to join the band. Gabe’s friend Hunter joined too, and a funny mistake led to his nickname, “Harold”. Pink Skull Garden is inspired by famous pop-punk bands like Blink-182 and Green Day. They want to bring back the classic pop-punk sound with a fresh spin. Their music is for anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t fit in or are stressed about growing up. It’s a high-energy way to express and deal with those feelings.

“Busy Today” is a great example of Pink Skull Garden’s style, with catchy parts and big, sing-along choruses. The song is about the hard times of being a teenager, feeling bad about yourself, and feeling like no one understands you. It’s a fast-paced song with catchy “na-na-na” parts that capture the feeling of being frustrated and bored as a teenager. The band has performed many shows in North Carolina and recently played for a large audience. They will release new music in July and plan to go on tour to promote their album in February 2025. The band recorded “Busy Today” at Sense-2 Studio in Charlotte with Blake Hobson. The song is about the energy and excitement of skateboarding and being a teenager. The lead singer, Farhan Raza, says the song feels like finally achieving something big and exciting, and they want to share that feeling with their fans.
