Post-Death Soundtrack has released a new album called “Veil Lifter” with 10 powerful tracks. The music mixes different styles, like doom, grunge, hardcore, and thrash. This album differs from their previous ones, which had a more industrial sound. Instead, it has a raw and live sound, inspired by famous bands like Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, and others. The album is a strong and intense musical experience.
The two men who made the album, Jon and Stephen, have created a unique sound that blends their inspirations with new ideas. The album’s themes are bold and honest, tackling tough topics like mental health, spiritual growth, and the collective mind. The title “Veil Lifter” comes from Eastern philosophy and means to reveal hidden truths and look beyond what’s visible on the surface. Steve Moore says “Veil Lifter” is his dream album. He wrote it during difficult times, and it’s a raw and emotional release. The album deals with themes like loneliness, depression, addiction, chaos, and strength.
The music uses metaphors and dream-like language, inspired by Eastern philosophies like Advaita, Zen, and the teachings of Krishnamurti. Jon Ireson says that Steve’s guitar playing guided the album’s direction, leading to a big change from their earlier electronic sound. The songs were written quickly, in short bursts of creativity. Adding Casey Lewis to the project brought a new level of energy and personality, completing the album. “Veil Lifter” is a tribute to Steve’s father, Ted Moore. The album shows how the band has grown and persevered. To learn more and listen to “Veil Lifter”, check out Post Death Soundtrack’s online music platforms.
